Hello, I am Cassie Kavanagh and I am a proud Loyola 3rd grade teacher. I have taught for over eight year, the past five of them within LASD in both teaching and literacy coaching roles. I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with my B.A. in Liberal Studies and hold my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. For as long as I can remember, I have been inspired by the curiosity and intrinsic love for learning that spills out of children and have always loved walking alongside them on their experience. My goal is to guide students through the learning process making it a hands on, fun, and deeply meaningful journey. Growing up in Santa Cruz has given me an attraction to the outdoors so outside of work, I can often be found hiking with my playful collie named Clover or relaxing beach or lake side with family. I look forward to getting to know you and your amazing children this year!
