The position of Room Parent is one of the most important in-classroom volunteer roles a parent can sign up for. Room parents interact with their classroom teacher to facilitate and coordinate activities requiring volunteers, such as: field trips, parties, lesson support, and various other classroom activities throughout the school year. They must be able to disburse information in a  timely manner to their entire class through an e-mail distribution. Highly organized and motivated parents are needed in the classroom to assist the teachers in this important role.

Sign-ups for room parents--and other in-classroom positions--are typically available in your child's classroom during Back to School Night. Room parents are then chosen by the Principal from the list of volunteers who signed up and put together by the Room Parent Liaison. The Room Parent Liaison serves as a bridge between the school administration, the Room Parents, and the PTA.

The 2021-22 Room Parent Liaison is Mira Sharma. Please reach out to her if you have any questions.
