I believe that every student deserves a positive and enriching learning experience in which their strengths, efforts, and progress are celebrated and their individual academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs are fulfilled. As an elementary resource specialist, I get the privilege of working with K-6 students who have mild to moderate disabilities. What I enjoy most about this position is that I get the opportunity everyday to support and celebrate students as they overcome difficult challenges. My educational background includes a BS in Liberal Studies and a MA in education from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. I have spent 7 years working as an elementary resource specialist (5 years at MUSD and 2 years at LASD). I am currently employed as an elementary resource specialist at Loyola Elementary School in LASD. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, running, hiking, and spending quality time with family and friends.
