I have always loved learning and truly believe that children are the best of humanity. What better place to be than teaching and surrounding myself with these amazing people! I have been at Loyola Elementary for my entire 25-year teaching career. After graduating with a BS in Social Sciences (Geography, Sociology and Anthropology) from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, I returned to my hometown of Walnut Creek and obtained my teaching credential from Saint Mary’s College in Moraga. A few years later I earned an M.Ed. from San Jose State University. When I am not teaching, or thinking about teaching which I tend to do often, I love spending time with my husband and a trio of boys. All three of my sons, now teens and an adult, went through Los Altos schools, and each one was fortunate to have had their mother as their teacher at one point! Traveling, walking with friends, and reading are just a few other things that make me happy!
