Hello there, I’d like to tell you a little about myself. I'm originally from Southern California, the San Gabriel Valley area. I attended undergrad at Cal State Fullerton and received a MA in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. I also graduated from Cal State Long Beach with a PPS Credential in School Psychology in 2007. I currently live in San Francisco with my husband, and we just got married on August 6th 2020 – Yes, during a pandemic. My husband and I are also expecting our first child (a baby girl) this September, so I do plan to be on maternity leave for a few months. This school year marks my 14th year working as a school psychologist, and my 7th year working here at LASD. Prior to LASD I was a school psych at San Francisco Unified School District also for 7 years. Some fun facts about me…I was a Disneyland character for 10 years and I'm a huge Notre Dame, Dodgers, A’s, and Warriors fan!
I LOVE MY JOB! Some things I really enjoy are providing resources to teachers, parents and staff to help support the achievement of all our students. I take pride in assisting students with acquiring the knowledge and skills needed for growth and development in all areas - academic, social-emotional, and behavior. I'm a systems thinker and I’m a huge DATA nerd! I also thrive on being a proactive team player. My favorite part of the job is spending time in classrooms, seeing the magic in action and getting to personally know all our students.
